The North Queensland Battle of the Bands Regional Finals ....
The NQ Battle of the Bands Regional Final is a major competition for local Townsville and North Queensland Regional bands: Organised by the Youth Network NQ Inc. and held at the Sound Shell in the grounds of the Thuringowa City Council buildings.
Bands will be competing from all across the NQ region in heats for the ultimate prize of Best Band at the NQ Regional Final and be in the running to win a recording demo. Also up for grabs are cash prizes and Arties Music vouchers.
To make the final, Heats are held in the leading weeks and the best bands from each heat are invited to the final.
The event is organised by the Youth Network NQ Inc. Youth Network NQ Inc. and is supported generously by the following sponsors:

The night was opened and closed with a performance from the 2008 NQ Battle of the Bands "Best Band" Shiftlock

Each band gets their ‘three songs of fame’ on the main stage and are judged for a variety of awards at the end of the night and the ultimate prize of "Best Band"
Purchasing digital copies - all photos of the NQ Battle of the Bands Regional Final can purchased as a digital image file only - digital files are great way to email the family, save as a desktop or screen saver; place in a digital photo frame or take to your local photo shop for your own prints: or use the image on a band t-shirt or as your cd cover image!
All photos in all albums have been reduced in size to enable faster loading: all images are displayed in a square thumbnail - by clicking on the image it will open in the correct format. All digital files purchased will be a High Res JPEG image

The digital images will be provided in their original size and format – this gives you the greatest flexibility in your use of the image :
- As a screen saver or desktop image on your computer
- In a digital photo frame
- Or take to your local photo shop for your own prints in your choice of size

Prices will depend on the format of the images you choose to purchase :
Viewing an individual image will display the price (and other various purchase options) for each individual image :
- Digital file – AUS $25.00 each
- Postage – AUS 10.00
- Discounts – order 5+ of any image/size combination – 15% discount and free postage (will be calculated at "checkout" automatically)
- Digital Images will be mailed to you on a CD/DVD
